Catering Information and Useful Links

Our menu has been created after extensive research into student preferences, but is also nutritious and compliant with all government guidelines. We recently changed our catering provider to Innovate who have produced a welcome letter HERE.

Innovate’s aim, along with the Academy, is to provide all students with an exceptional catering experience. Our very talented Executive Chef and the fantastic catering team will be serving exciting menus packed with healthy ingredients, that are full of variety, and with loads of interesting new things to try. It is important that the food Innovate 3tastes as good as it looks, and we’re sure you won’t be disappointed.

Our menu and tariffs can be downloaded below:

The academy uses a cashless catering system for the food and drink purchases.

Here is a link to the Eatwell Guide (from Public Health England) – this provides a useful overview of what food groups make up a balanced and healthy diet.

If your child has a special diet and/or certain food intolerances, then we have a special diet procedure which contains a form for the parent/carer to complete and return – link here.

Free school meals

Your child may be entitled to free school meals. Even if your child does not wish to eat free school meals, but is entitled to them, it's worth applying because for each child entitled to free school meals the Academy could receive funding to help with tuition, resources, coaching and extra assistance. Find out if your child is entitled to free school meals by accessing this link. The meal value is £2.38.

Department for Education (DfE)

To view the performance of the Academy, please see the Department for Education (DfE) web site at www.education.gov.uk/cgi-bin/schools/performance/school.pl?urn=134225. The DfE Performance Tables provides an in depth look at the statistics and information regarding the Academy. The information displayed on this website covers almost every area of the Academy from the number of students and staff, to examination results. This also provides a breakdown of the different types of learners and their performance at the Academy.

Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted)

The Academy's Ofsted reports can be found at;

Parent View

Parent View is the Ofsted online questionnaire survey tool that enables parents/carers or in fact anyone with an email address to comment on a school against a set list of questions. Therefore it can be completed at any time during an academic year by people who do not have a child at the Academy as well as those who do. However, it is not possible for the responses to be validated as completed by parents/carers of students at the Academy. The Academy therefore also uses hard copies of the same survey questions during Parent Evenings throughout the year for each year group in order to verify that the survey responses are completed by a parent/carer with a child/children in a particular year group at the Academy and discuss anything raised with parents/carers directly and also pass feedback to staff and Governors. https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/parent-view-results/survey/result/22120/current
