Year 7-8 Virtual Learning Information
Welcome to the Year 7-8 information page. Following government guidance, the Academy will remain virtual for Year 7 and 8 students for the rest of this academic year.
Don't miss the 'How to Be Great at Virtual Learning' page!
Students in Year 7 and 8 will now be able to log in to MS Teams to access some lessons that have video and audio recorded by their teachers. Click here for an explanation of how to log on to MS Teams.
In MS Teams, student will be able to engage in more interactive lessons, hear and see explanations and instructions and ask questions of their subject teachers for the following subjects: English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Modern Foreign Languages and Religious Studies.
All other lessons and non-audio/video versions of all lessons will still be available on Sharepoint (from the link below).
You will need to log in with your school password to access these resources. Contact your tutor if you cannot remember your login details – you can find staff email addresses here.
You will also find our celebration of student successes and rewards in our weekly Peckham Post newsletter. If you would like any of these resources translated from English, we recommend using onlinedoctranslator.com.
We strongly recommend that you use the Virtual Timetable below to help you organise your time effectively and be as productive as possible. Each day you should complete three hours of subject-specific home learning, at least one wellbeing activity and 30 minutes of reading.
*For the wellbeing activity follow the guidance on our Wellbeing at Home page.
Remember, developing your reading ability is a vital part of your education and overall wellbeing. Have you finished the Peckham 50 or HAP Reading Challenge? You can find about both on our Reading at Home page.
Please do remember our etiquette for remote learning and how we interact to support one another.
