We are a family here at HAP, and our students are the reason this place feels alive.

I’ve been part of the Drama department for many years, and I still feel lucky every single day to work here. Nothing compares to watching our students step into a professional performance space and completely own it. You can almost hear the moment they realise they belong there.

Bringing technical theatre into our curriculum has been one of the real joys of my job, because it gives students skills, opportunities, and a doorway into the world beyond our walls. Working alongside our young people on creative projects, both in school and out in the wider community, isn’t just inspiring. It’s the reason I love being here.
