Student Leadership
We launched our Student Leadership programme in Autumn 2025 with students applying to be tutor group representatives, as well as for prestigious Prefect positions in Year 10.
The Student Leadership Team plays a vital part in shaping the culture and experiences within our school community. From representing student voice to supporting whole-school events, these young leaders embody our values and serve as positive role models for their peers.
Their commitment to contributing to school life reflects not only their personal strengths but also their desire to make a meaningful impact.
Students who apply must have their application supported by teacher signatures before undergoing a rigorous screening process of their contribution to school life, their academic reports, attendance and behaviour profile.
Student Leadership Team 2025-26 - congratulations!
The student representatives will meet termly to discuss important issues that have been raised by the HAP community, such as:
- Which charities should we fundraise for this year?
- What do we like most in the canteen and what would we change?
- What would be the best rewards trip this summer?
At HAP, students know that their voice matters and staff will listen to their views. We encourage our young people to use their voice and listen to the student population to effect change. This helps them to advance into adulthood knowing that they can make a difference in their society or on a global scale.

Our stories
Minhaj - Year 8
“When I first joined the school, I was anxious about homework, detentions, and the workload. Now, with support and guidance, I’ve come to realise there was nothing to fear—and that I’m capable of more than I thought.”
