Careers & Enterprise
Whether your child is beginning to explore their future options or already has a clear career path in mind, we’re here to guide them towards success – be that earning a place at a leading university or stepping into a rewarding job that aligns with their aspirations.
Workplace visits – being inspired
Our careers programme is designed to spark ambition as well as provide guidance. A key feature is our programme of workplace visits, which allow students to explore a wide variety of career options – from law and computer science to sports management and the performing arts.
These real-world experiences give students a deeper understanding of different professions and what they involve, while also expanding their cultural awareness. By observing professionals at work, students gain motivation to aim high and are inspired to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.
Careers learning in school
As well as hands-on experience during workplace visits, students also take part in careers-related lessons and assemblies, hear from visiting guest speakers, and have opportunities to attend careers fairs and events both at the school and across London.
“Careers provision is strong and pupils hear from a range of employers and further education providers.” Ofsted 2025

Guiding your child through their future pathways
As students move through school, they will need to make key decisions about their education and training, and we ensure they have all the information and inspiration they need to make the right choices.
- One-to-one careers guidance
- Learning about links between subjects and careers – helping students see how their learning applies to real-world jobs
- All students have access to Unifrog, an easy-to-use online tool where they can explore different career paths, compare post-16 and post-18 options and track their personal careers journey
Further and higher education experiences
As part of our comprehensive careers programme, students have the opportunity to visit a range of universities, colleges and apprenticeship providers. These experiences play a vital role in inspiring students and helping them set ambitious goals for their future.
Seeing what's possible first-hand often motivates them to strive for top university places and competitive career routes.
How you can get involved as a parent
We know that parents play a crucial role in helping young people navigate their future choices. If you have professional experience to share, we’d love to hear from you. Could you help by:
- Delivering a career talk to students?
- Hosting a stand at our annual careers fair?
- Offering a work experience placement for a student?
If so, please get in touch at enquiries@harrispeckham.org.uk – we’d love to hear from you.
If you have any questions about how we support students with their future choices, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to working together to help your child achieve their ambitions.
