Year 9 Explore Contemporary Art at the Barbican

Our Year 9 students had an incredible opportunity to visit the “Dirty Looks” exhibition at the Barbican.

The exhibition challenged them to engage with complex themes, and they approached these ideas with remarkable sensitivity and curiosity.

Throughout the day, students reflected deeply on the powerful contemporary artworks on display, drawing inspiration for their own creative thinking. Their thoughtful engagement and willingness to explore new perspectives made us immensely proud.

Experiences like this highlight the importance of art in education – encouraging critical thinking, empathy and creativity. Well done to all our Year 9 students for making the most of this enriching trip.
