Year 11 Geography Students Put Fieldwork Skills into Practice in Whitstable

Year 11 Geography Students Put Fieldwork Skills into Practice in Whitstable

Our Year 11 Geography students recently visited Whitstable as part of their GCSE Geography studies, giving them the opportunity to apply their learning beyond the classroom.

During the visit, students developed and refined their geographical fieldwork skills by collecting, recording and analysing primary data within a real coastal environment. The trip provided valuable hands-on experience, enabling students to investigate coastal processes first-hand and gain a deeper understanding of the topics they have been studying.

By bringing key geographical concepts to life, the fieldwork helped students strengthen their knowledge, build confidence in essential investigation techniques and develop the analytical skills required for success in their forthcoming GCSE examinations.
