Harris Academy Peckham is a place of ambition, opportunity and pride – and I’m honoured to be part of it.

I came into teaching because I believe education changes lives. My family instilled in me a love of learning and a belief that knowledge creates opportunity. That passion has guided me throughout my career, and as Principal of Harris Academy Peckham, I feel privileged to help our young people discover their talents and realise their ambitions every day.

What I enjoy most about my job is the students – their energy, curiosity and joy. Whether I’m chatting to them in the playground or watching them perform on stage at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, their enthusiasm and confidence inspire me. Seeing them ask critical questions, lead discussions or achieve outstanding results reminds me why I chose this profession.

Our Academy has a real sense of warmth and belonging. It’s calm, purposeful and built on mutual respect between staff and students. Our ethos of LEAP – Leadership, Enquiry, Aspiration and Perseverance – shapes everything we do, helping students grow into socially conscious, well-rounded individuals.

I am immensely proud of our diverse community, our commitment to personal development, and the “Peckham Privilege,” which offers every child enriching experiences beyond the classroom. Harris Academy Peckham is a place of ambition, opportunity and pride – and I’m honoured to be part of it.
