Shivers, Stories, and Surprises in Year 7 Book Club

Our Library Book Club has been diving into the spooky world of Shiverpoint. This creepy story is set in a small town and has kept us wondering what would happen next.   

We read one book each half term at a relaxed pace, making it easy for students to join in. The club runs Thursdays after school, and participants even get to keep their copy of the book!  

We’ve been having fun with activities that help us really get to know the characters, from exploring their personalities to imagining what we would do in their place. One of the highlights has been our “Would You Rather?” discussion, where we debated tricky, spooky, and sometimes hilarious dilemmas inspired by the story.  

After half term, we’ll be moving on to our next book, Hercules, a funny family story which explores the nature of friendship, love and loyalty with a perfect mix of humour 

All Year 7 students are welcome to join!
