Little Fish Theatre Company

On Friday 4 March Little Fish Theatre Company come to work with some of our Year 9 and 10 students.

During their performance the following question was raised and tackled:

How do you explain the laws surrounding ‘Grooming’ and young people?

Answer: Create a superbly written play aimed and young people, exploring relationships and peer pressure.

“The play really targeted the emotions behind why some people behave the way they do.”- Dircia, Year 9

“It really shows how you are in charge of your own actions and are responsible for your life choices.”- Katie C, Year 9

Little Fish’s production “Kiss and Tell” weaves a story of how two young people are groomed with life changing consequences.

“The play was great it cleverly showed and explained the laws surrounding grooming in a fun and exciting way.”- Giovanni, Year 9

Told through a range of clever drama techniques and witty dialogue the play engages young people with a fusion of popular music, great character work and fast paced action.

“I really enjoyed taking in the workshop and getting to act in the scene to show how the main character Elisha could have changed the situation.”- Mariam, Year 10

The year 9 and 10 audience really enjoyed the work and were able to ask and respond with some very mature and knowledgeable questions in the after show discussion.

“The play showed that boys can be groomed into committing illegal acts as well as girls.”- Ifaz, Year 9
