Road safety officer / Youth travel ambassador

On Monday 16th January students were given a presentation on the TFL road safety ambassador scheme and were offered the opportunity to enter a competition with their existing road safety campaign and pitch for £250.  The scheme is run across all London boroughs and only four schools in Southwark are invited to pitch in front of expert panellists at an event in Central London.
 
Gareth Tuffery the Principal road safety officer for Southwark and Fiona Hedderman TfL youth Travel Ambassador were extremely impressed with the work the students have already conducted and felt that they are more or less ready to make a successful pitch with their existing road safety campaign.
 
The students were eager to impress and discuss their ideas and have come up with some exciting ideas to further their road safety campaign.
