Year 8 Kings Scholars students visit King’s College London.

On Friday 24th November our Year 8 Kings Scholars students visited King’s College London. This visit provided them with opportunities to engage in a number of activities to enable them to explore, question and uncover what happens at university and beyond. They worked with King’s College ambassadors, who provided them with information about what it is like to study at university.

Students then worked in groups to ultimately create their own university, incorporating the King’s Scholars Skills. Each student had to present in front of their peers. A number of these presentations were really very imaginative and extremely well delivered and this was commented upon by the ambassadors, particularly for the impressive level of maturity and composure shown. It was commented upon that all students were a real credit to our Academy for their constant engagement,  effort and participation.

Particular mention goes to the following students:

  • Briana for being able to present in front of peers; a huge transformation in her self-confidence since the start of this year.
  • Tegan for composing a very eloquent poem and delivering it with such panache.
  • Alfred for the very impressive delivery of his presentation.
