"You Can Be a Superhero and Be a Child" - Students Inspired to Take Positive Social Action

We Day (2)10 members from our student leadership team attended WE Day at Wembley Arena recently - a day designed to inspire young people into taking on positive social action to make society a better place.

Davina gives her report on this lovely day below.

WE day was amazing it was intriguing and inspiring I learnt so much. Now I am inspired to be a hero. I now know that I do not have to imagine or pretend that I am a superhero. I am a hero! We can all be heroes! We can inspire. We can be brave. We can be successful. We can make an impact.

The award-winning actor Idris Elba told us: "You do not have to be an adult or wait until you are grown up to make an impact and change in this world. You can be a superhero and be a child."

The music was outstanding and out of this world. Leona Lewis, Jamie Oliver and many famous artists, actors and politicians came to speak to us. We can be the leaders of today and we do not have to wait until tomorrow to be ambassadors of today. So do not ever forget that we can all be heroes!
