Year 10 football team educational and inspirational visit to training ground. They experienced a tour plus watched an under 21s training session which allowed them to see the requirements needed at that level. This was followed by a Q&A session. pic.twitter.com/kjaMsPRq7m

Peckham Community Supports Refugee Families

HAP refugees 2A cold, chilly but sunny Sunday morning found myself, Ms Gordon and Ms Reis on the Academy’s playground speaking with, and selling raffle tickets to, bargain hunters and antiques aficionados at the Peckham Car Boot Sale - hosted here every other Sunday.

It was all in aid of our refugee community here at HAP, to help ensure we can provide care packages. This has all been thanks to the kind donations of our local community, along with the amazing amount of money raised in our raffle.

Despite the chilly weather, we were warmly greeted by so many local people who wanted to donate or buy a raffle ticket. And we were blown away by the amount we were able to raise - £136!

Thank you to all the donors to our raffle and the local community who got involved to help raise money to provide care packages for our refugee families.

Mr Tye - Associate Assistant Principal
