Basketball on the Rise - Latest News

This term our students have been competing in the Dynamik National School Basketball League, organised by Basketball England. Harris Academy Peckham has had three different age groups competing, from U14 Boys and Girls to U16 Boys.

We’ve had some incredible results as an Academy across all three age groups wining six of our nine games.

Our U14 Girls team (pictured below), led by Akpevweoghene and Ciara, made positive progress by beating a respectable team from Platanos College with a final score of 16-14.

Our U14 Boys team (pictured below), led by Emmanuel and Jodeci, have had an incredible season winning all four games with the biggest win coming against St Thomas The Apostle, which they won 43-36.

Our U16 Boys team (pictured below), led by Nyakeh and Erick, has had mixed results with one win and two losses, including a nail-bitter against Bullers Wood School for Boys which ended with a final score of 55-52.

I am super proud off all the students who have played and contributed to the overall success this year and to see how far we have come as a community. I look forward to seeing our students compete in this year’s Harris Cup after the festive season.

Lastly, I would like to say thank all the parents who have supported their child on this journey.
