Year 7s Encouraged to Write Stories by Author Siobhan McDermott

Year 5 students from Harris Primary Peckham Park joined our Year 7s for a wonderful presentation by author Siobhan McDermott.

Her fantasy book Paper Dragons: The Fight for the Hidden Realm is inspired by Chinese folklore and features magic, dragon boats and paper cuts.

“I really liked that she is scared of wild monkeys and jellyfish and still included them in her book,” said Darasimi. Rhodia felt encouraged to write a book herself. "Spelling is not everything - the important bit is to create a good story!" she said.
