New Partnership with Trinity Laban Conservatoire

Trinity1The Academy is very fortunate this year to be involved in the first project between the Trinity Laban Strings Department and local schools. Trinity Laban is one of the UK's leading conservatoires, training the next generation of professional musicians.

In November we were lucky enough to be the first school on the Trinity Strings schools tour. Students from Trinity came to give a performance to all our KS3 violinists on the MISST programme, with some of our students joining them for a performance of Gorecki's Suite in an Olden Style.

Since then, Trinity students have come on a weekly basis to support our Academy Orchestra rehearsals. This final project enabled four of our Year 10 violinists to perform again with the Trinity Strings Orchestra and students from other south London schools in a concert at St Alfege's Church, Greenwich.
