PE highlights
James Gody and Samuel Sesay have performed to a very level for the Academy and district football teams. Both students have managed to secure schoolboy affiliated forms with professional football clubs. Samuel has signed for Fulham and James for Charlton Athletic respectfully.
Mariam Ojobowale has continued to develop her athletics performances. Mariam recently represented Southwark district in the London schools athletics competition at Battersea Park where she came a respectable third qualifying for the English schools championships at Gateshead’s for the girls 100 metres representing London schools athletics.
At Harris Academy Peckham we encourage the development of our students in a sporting capacity both internally through a balanced curriculum and extracurricular clubs, alongside offering advice and support for our students external commitments. We are extremely proud of our student’s achievements and are delighted that we can support them into maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle through balancing their education and sporting commitments. We seek to continue to develop our students further to achieve their full potential in both an academic and sporting capacity.
