Harris Experience LAMDA workshop

On Friday 13 November , a number of Year 11 Harris Experience students attended a presentation skills workshop at Harris Academy Bermondsey delivered by the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).

The workshop focused on the ‘three Vs’ – the vocal, the verbal, and the visual. Students learnt how to project their voice, speak articulately and convincingly, and support their speeches with body language. The students engaged excellently throughout, integrating themselves well with students from Bermondsey and fielding questions thoughtfully. A journalist from The Times took the time to interview Georgette Antwi at the end of the session, with both her and the rest of the students conducting themselves with the utmost decorum. There were a great number of tips to take away from the workshop, and we are all thoroughly excited about the follow-up session in December.
