IT workshop
Students looked at emerging technology in the workplace, and were encouraged to explore how it will evolve in ways that they may not have considered.
The facilitators focussed on the importance of communication and teamwork when completing the tasks. All students were engaged and seemed to enjoy the workshop.
The growth of Digitisation (where information is transformed from hard to electronic format) was a focal point. Specifically students looked at how companies such as TATA Consultancy Services have helped organisations such as British Airways to improve their services to customers. Marketing, HR, Sales, Operations and Finance were discussed as depts and teams who all rely on the use of IT and systems in business today.
The session was energetic and delivered with verve. Students were very responsive and some examples of feedback can be seen below:
