Creating Lifelong Memories: Year 7 Residential at PGL – A True Peckham Privilege

This week, our Year 7 students embarked on an unforgettable journey as part of their residential experience at PGL — a cornerstone of the Peckham Privilege.

From high ropes and canoeing to campfire bonding and team challenges, students have embraced every moment with enthusiasm, courage, and joy. These experiences go far beyond fun; they foster resilience, build friendships, and nurture leadership — all vital ingredients in shaping confident, well-rounded young people.

The residential is more than just a trip — it’s a powerful opportunity for personal growth. For many students, it’s their first time away from home, and they return with a renewed sense of independence and pride. Watching them support one another, overcome fears, and celebrate achievements has been truly inspiring.

We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful to our dedicated staff and the PGL team for making this experience so impactful. This is what the Peckham Privilege is all about: ensuring every child has access to enriching opportunities that broaden horizons and create lasting memories.
